No one should suffer from preventable infections

About DRASA

Dr Ameyo Stella Adadevoh (DRASA) Health Trust is a public health nonprofit founded in memory of Nigeria’s Ebola heroine, whose decisive stand and sacrifice in the face of the deadly Ebola virus saved millions. We are developing a network of Health Champions who are catalysts of change while simultaneously working with federal, state, and local institutions to shape public policy and institutionalize disease prevention.

Our Model

We believe that healthier communities begin with informed people, accountable institutions, and strong systems and this is reflected across our four program areas: Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR), Community Health and Hygiene, Health Security, and Infection Prevention and Control (IPC).

Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR): Mainstreaming AMR education in secondary schools and health facilities to build lifelong prevention habits among youth and health workers.

Community Health and Hygiene: Equipping individuals to become Health Champions who work closely with their local authorities to promote healthy behaviors, prevent illnesses, and quickly detect diseases.

Health Security: Embedding youth and civil society in health governance structures to strengthen preparedness and response systems, making them more inclusive and data-driven.

Infection Prevention and Control (IPC): Institutionalizing local infection control systems in hospitals, clinics, and primary healthcare centers to drive safer, higher-quality care.
