The 2nd Africa CDC-DRASA Continental Award for Emergency Health Workers in Africa was slated to hold on Thursday the 30th day of November 2023 at the 3rd Conference of Public Health In Africa (CPHIA).
Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, the Africa CDC-DRASA Award was canceled.
We appreciate everyone who submitted nominations during the open call and we acknowledge the work and efforts of all nominees. We are also immensely grateful for the core planning team and the panel of judges who worked to ensure the promotion, submission, evaluation, and final selection processes which spanned from March to November 2023, were successful.
We understand that many friends of DRASA – our partners, supporters, donors, and well-wishers – were excited for this Award and we share your disappointment in this outcome.
We want to express our sincere gratitude to all nominees, our partners for their support, and to our team for their dedication and hard work.
We remain committed to our goal of celebrating frontline health workers and we will continue to push forward in this regard as we strive for excellence in all that we do.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
Sincerely,
Dr. Ameyo Stella Adadevoh (DRASA) Health Trust
