Today we did our final #ItStartsWithMe school visit before school ends across Lagos state for summer holidays. It was a very special visit because we went to State Senior Grammar School in Surulere, a school for hearing impaired students.
To help us communicate with the students, a teacher used sign language to translate our talk. This helped the students understand and follow along (see the photo below).
As you can see, the students were very excited to receive the donated products from Unilever Nigeria and now that we have spoken with them, they know how and when to use the soap for handwashing and roll-on deodorants for hygiene.
Even though many of the students are hearing impaired, they sang along to our handwashing song as they left the assembly and marched back to their classrooms. Check out the video:
